Abu SalehMunnah

Home in Khulna, desk in Dhaka, and a passport that keeps collecting stamps. This is where I keep the rest.

I collect places, not things.
I am Abu Saleh Munnah. Khulna is home — long afternoons, loud rain, and the sound of a guitar being tuned badly in the next room. The work is in Dhaka, which means a good part of my life happens somewhere on the road between the two.
The rest of the time I am trying to be somewhere else entirely. Most of what I care about on those trips is small: a window seat, the first cold minute of a beach at sunrise, the particular quiet of an airport at four in the morning when the whole world is still deciding what to do next.
Everything else — the office, the paperwork, the plans I am not ready to talk about yet — happens in between. This page is simply where I keep the parts worth keeping.
Four things that keep showing up.

Departures
Terminals, boarding passes, the half-hour before take-off. Whether it is the Dhaka flight or something much further, I like the leaving almost as much as the arriving.

Six Strings
A rooftop, a guitar and a sky that is still deciding whether to be blue. Nothing recorded, nothing posted — just played.

Open Road
Khulna to Dhaka and back, headlights on an empty stretch, one long playlist. The clearest thinking I ever do.

The Desk
The unglamorous half. Paper, deadlines, the slow work that makes the other three chapters possible.
Stamps, so far.
Base in Khulna, desk in Dhaka, and a bag that is never fully unpacked.
